Until just recently I avoided, at all costs, both mediation and arbitration.  My belief was that they were unproductive and expensive, leading people into resolutions that they ultimately found unacceptable.

When I began practicing law full time in Florida I was immediately rankled by the prospect of having essentially every case go through mediation.  I am now a convert.  I don’t say that simply because I am now a mediator.  Rather, I chose to become a mediator because I determined that litigating in Florida is truly an unsatisfactory process.

To those of you who are practicing attorneys you are well aware that the Florida Court system is drastically overburdened.  The requirement that even the most trivial matter necessitates a court appearance and/or a hearing was (and still is) absolutely incredible to me.  The burden on the system is overwhelming, and the expenses imposed because of the system are ultimately reflected in the costs passed on to the clients.

As you can see from the information provided at the top of this page I am licensed to practice law in four States, and in the Federal Courts in New York and Florida.  I have substantial experience in all facets of law as a result of the general practice in which I have engaged.

Attorneys such as me -general practitioners – are often described as dinosaurs.  We are a dying breed.  This “dinosaur” believes that the broad experience that I have acquired brings to the mediation table a unique perspective, coupled with an ability to see beyond the very narrow issues presented.

I am a goal oriented, problem solving person.  I have never shied away from difficult cases or clients.  I may not have seen it all, but I have seen most of it.  If you decide to use my services you will find that I will utilize my experience, and what I think are my substantial problem solving abilities, to help you resolve your dispute quickly, fairly and in a cost effective manner.  No, I will not guarantee a result, but I will guarantee that no one will work harder, with more creativity, than I will.
