PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Sole Practitioner: Mount Kisco, NY; Ridgefield, CT; Augusta, GA; Venice, FL (1973 -- Present)

Founded and developed successful and lucrative general litigation practice. Also assumed all duties of Deputy Town Attorney in Mount Kisco, New York, prosecuting criminal and zoning violations. Managed and administered commercial and residential leasing accounts, including drafting and negotiating leases, ensuring compliance with subdivision statutes, and negotiating sales of commercial property.

  • Successfully argued appeal involving parolee’s rights to revocation hearing, resulting in change of New York State Law on the subject.
  • Led citizens’ movement against proposed State Department of Transportation actions which would have negatively impacted the community, resulting in significant modification of original State plans.
  • Represented several multi-national firms and acted as sole U.S. representative with respect to leases, contract negotiations, accounts collection, and personnel matters.
  • Planned, organized, and implemented dissolution and liquidation of two American subsidiaries on behalf of foreign manufacturers, including final disposition of all corporate affairs, tax matters, employee severance, and closing of facilities.
  • Took over reputedly impossible oral contract case in which defendant passed away prior to being deposed; defeated summary judgment and took case to jury trial, resulting in six-figure award for client, which was upheld by the New York Court of Appeals.
